This tent has multiple mesh panels incorporated throughout with an additional mesh panel behind the bedrooms to maximise ventilation and keep your tent cool on warm breaks. Sentinel fabric keeps pack size and weight low, while ensuring Vango quality and durability. Easy pitching and solid structure
It is possible to get the Vango Harris 500 pitched and ready to go in 15 minutes (we know because we did it ourselves!). The colour coded Vango PowerFlex® Fibreglass Poles make it easier to put together and helps to create a strong, light and reliable structure. And Vango’s patented TBS®II Tension Band System ensures the tent performs in adverse conditions, especially in strong, changeable winds. When tensioned, the bands brace the pole at 3 points, and reduce sideways movement. The Harris 500 also boasts and adjustable pegging system, which aids pitching on uneven surfaces. And pre-angled poles (in addition to achieving greater internal space than a standard curve) also provides more effective bracing against winds.
Comfortable camping
The Harris 500 is a beautifully capacious 5-person family tent with Queen Size Bedrooms, which provide a 60cm sleeping area per person meaning you have plenty of room to sleep and store essentials. The Villa Construction with upright side walls increase the height within the tent allowing you to fully maximise the internal space and there is a large mesh roll away front door, which means the two large panels can be rolled to the side to fully open up the living space. Further benefits include a flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting or storage and tailor the tent to your needs; and Diamond Clear Windows to maximise light and visibility to provide a bright and airy environment.
Designed to keep you dry
There’s nothing worse when your camping than a leaky tent, which is why Vango fully wind and rain test all their tents. The Harris 500 has been fully weather-tested to standard EN ISO 5912 for peace of mind so is perfectly suited for use in wet weather, however, severe storms and extreme weather should be avoided. There is a fully sewn in Waterproof PE Groundsheet, which is robust and hardwearing and capable of withstanding the the rigours of the most family camping trips. There is also a covered entrance to provide a sheltered entrance to your tent, which prevents rain from dripping into the living area.
